The Role

We are seeking a talented and motivated Financial Assistant to join our team on a maternity cover contract. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with strong financial administration experience who enjoys variety, responsibility, and working in a collaborative environment. You will play a key role in ensuring the smooth running of our finance operations while supporting day‑to‑day office management activities.

Your Responsibilities Will Include
  • Preparing and maintaining financial records, including sales and purchase invoices, expense reports, and reconciliations
  • Managing accounts payable and receivable processes across multiple regions
  • Uploading and generating invoices, processing direct debit collections, and reconciling payments
  • Supporting debt recovery activity and maintaining strong client communication
  • Assisting with financial reporting, including monthly accounts, forecasts, and budgeting
  • Performing month‑end reconciliations and assisting with cross‑system data checks
  • Providing administrative support for the Finance function and wider business as required
  • Supporting facilities and office coordination, including supplier liaison, scheduling, and event arrangements
What We're Looking For
  • Proven experience in a finance or accounting support role
  • Strong understanding of accounts payable, receivable, and reconciliations
  • Excellent proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial systems
  • Highly organised with exceptional attention to detail
  • Strong communication skills and confidence liaising with clients and colleagues
  • A proactive, adaptable approach with the ability to work independently
  • AAT qualification or equivalent experience (advantageous)
