Job Summary

We are seeking a talented and motivated Finance Apprentice to join our dynamic team.

Key Responsibilities

We are looking for a passionate and skilled Finance Apprentice to contribute to our growing success.

Reporting to the Senior Management Accountant, you will be responsible for supporting the finance team with the day‑to‑day running of the accounting function and other related finance tasks.

This opportunity will enable you to work across different areas of finance to gain confidence, experience and build a portfolio of evidence for apprenticeship accreditation. Supervision and support will be provided and available to you during all tasks as you achieve the Association of Accounting Technicians (AAT) professional qualification.

What you’ll be doing

• Supporting month end financial close activities
• Using Microsoft Dynamics AX software to maintain the nominal ledger and accounts
• Performing reconciliations of balance sheet accounts
• Processing and reporting on prepayments, accruals, fixed assets and intercompany balances
• Carrying out transactional processing associated with credit cards and journal entries
• Identifying and supporting continuous improvements in process and controls
• Performing other ad hoc duties as requested by line manager or Financial Controller

Who you’ll be working with

• Partly qualified in AAT or desire to obtain a professional finance qualification
• Strong numerical and analytical skills with the desire to understand the “why” behind the numbers
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to build relationships with stakeholders
• Proactive and organised approach to work, with good attention to detail
• Can prioritise and manage multiple tasks
• IT proficient and strong Excel skills
