Job summary

A leading provider of asset management is seeking a Field Service Engineer based in Wakefield. The successful candidate will attend customer locations, ensuring all work complies with engineering standards while identifying breakdown causes and sourcing parts. The ideal candidate will possess relevant technical qualifications, prior experience, and the ability to work independently under pressure. This role offers a 40-hour working week, competitive overtime rates, and opportunities for professional growth.

Qualifications

  • Relevant technical qualification in engineering or related field.
  • Previous experience as a field service engineer or similar position is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of hydraulic, mechanical, and electrical principles.

Responsibilities

  • Attend customer locations to assess work scope and priorities.
  • Liaise with customers and controllers regarding expected work and costs.
  • Identify root causes of breakdowns and source parts effectively.
  • Ensure all work complies with engineering standards.
  • Perform regular checks on work to ensure safety and performance.
  • Inform customers of any additional work needed and potential costs.
  • Complete necessary job and service documentation accurately.
