Electronic Monitoring is the use of Radio Frequency technology to monitor an individual's compliance with an order imposed upon them by an issuing authority such as a Sheriff Court.
Individuals who are subject to Electronic Monitor will wear a monitoring device commonly referred to as a “Tag” and have a further monitoring device installed within their premises.
G4S, an allied universal company, is the Electronic Monitoring Service Provider for Scotland. G4S installs the equipment, monitors individual’s compliance and reports any non-compliance to the relevant authority.
The role involves the installation, investigation, and decommissioning of electronic monitoring equipment. Field Officers will meet a wide range of people whilst carrying out their duties as the installation takes place in the clients home. Field Officers work to a set shift pattern. Due to the nature of our business, we must visit our clients during their curfew period. As a result the role is primarily backshift 17:00-00:30 hrs Tuesday to Saturday. We offer a competitive salary of £14.38 per hour or £26,243.57 based on a full time 35 hours per week contract as well as a company pension scheme, life assurance, 5.6 weeks’ paid holiday, staff discounts including Perks at Work, free on site parking and progression opportunities. If successful, you will be given access to a pool car during your shift time that will enable you to complete your assigned tasks for the evening, you will also be provided with a fuel card, mobile phone and tablet. A full driving licence is essential for the role and an ongoing programme of training and development will be provided. The contract G4S holds with the Scottish Government covers the whole of Scotland including the islands. Although the role is predominantly based across the central belt you may be required to travel to any area of Scotland that you can reasonably get to and from within a shift.
