Dutton Gregory Solicitors is seeking a talented and driven Family Solicitor to take the lead in our Bournemouth office. This is an exciting opportunity for a confident and experienced lawyer to shape the future of our family law offering in the region, working independently as the sole family practitioner on site.

We’re seeking a skilled and confident lawyer who combines strong technical expertise with a talent for business development – someone who enjoys building lasting relationships, attracting new clients, and actively enhancing the firm’s presence in the local community.

Key Responsibilities:

• Handling a broad range of private family matters including divorce, financial remedies, and children issues.
• Undertaking your own advocacy, where appropriate.
• Proactively networking and developing new business opportunities.
• Building and maintaining relationships with clients and key local referrers.
• Growing the department’s presence and reputation in Bournemouth.
• Optionally undertaking family mediation (desirable but not essential).

What We’re Looking For:

• Ideally 5+ years PQE in family law.
• A confident and self-motivated practitioner able to work independently.
• Someone with an existing client/referrer following or demonstrable ability to develop one.
• A commercially-minded solicitor with the drive to develop and grow a caseload.
• Excellent communication and advocacy skills.
