Due to the current postholder relocating we are looking for an ambitious EYFS phase leader. You will manage one existing teacher and three capable teaching assistants. You will be an excellent practitioner yourself, and you will also be able to effectively lead, coach, and support others to become excellent teachers too. You will set a clear and strategic vision for their key stage, ensure that there is a stimulating and engaging curriculum for students, and implement phase wide strategies to ensure all students enjoy and excel within their learning. This is a really exciting time to join as we plan to open our own nursery in the near future and you will play a vital role in what that looks like. Our EYFS facilities are brilliant, with two spacious classrooms and a great outdoor learning area including our very own pond!
You will be a qualified teacher with a proven track record of successfully leading staff. You will have resilience and optimism to lead through day‑to‑day challenges while maintaining a clear strategic vision and direction, and have patience in interactions with all students across all situations, with a calm demeanour. It would be desirable if you have a passion or experience of working in a nursery environment so please include this in your application.
