An exciting opportunity has become available for experienced social workers to join our Cared for Children service.
You will deliver statutory services for our cared for children and ensuring that they are safe and well cared for. This will include direct work with children, and you will have sound assessment skills which ensure effective assessment of need, leading to robust and timely care planning
You will make a positive difference for our cared for children by enabling them to live within their family where this is safe, including through reunification and discharge of Care Orders. You will ensure timely, clear and suitable permanence plans which allow our young people to live without our intervention where possible, and you will work alongside our partners to be ambitious for the children we care for.
There is a possibility that you may be allocated children who are subject to ongoing care proceedings, although, the majority of work within the service is with children who are subject to final Care Orders.
