Location: Cambridge, UK (hybrid working, minimum one day per week in Cambridge)

Full-time: 35 hours per week

Contract: Open-ended

Salary: £29,000 per annum depending on skills/experience, plus competitive 12% pension benefit

Annual Leave: 25 days pro rata in year 1, increasing by 1 day p/a to 28 days

We are looking for an Events Coordinator to play a key role in supporting the Head of Stewardship & Development Communications and the wider Development Team.

In this role, you will be organising and supporting in-person, hybrid and online BirdLife-led fundraising, cultivation and stewardship events, both in the UK and internationally.

How you will do this:
  • Delivering in-person and hybrid Development events:
    • Developing project plans
    • Organising speakers and materials
    • Creating itineraries
    • Booking venues
    • Arranging catering
    • Delivering briefings and post-event follow-up and analysis

Managing online events such as talks and Q&A

Supporting with BirdLife’s Development events strategy

Helping fundraisers deliver supporter-led events

Managing the events module in Raisers Edge including data input, maintenance and reporting

What we are looking for:
  • Relevant professional experience in events
  • Outstanding communications skills, both written and verbal
  • Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
  • Ability to balance multiple priorities in a dynamic working environment
  • Excellent MS office skills
  • Experience in fundraising/working with major donors would be an advantage
  • Knowledge of fundraising database systems would be an advantage as would an Institute of Fundraising (IoF) qualification
