Job summary

An award-winning fire protection business in Halifax is seeking an Estimator to join their team. The role involves pricing works, liaising with clients, and developing pricing models. Qualifications

  • Experience in pricing of passive fire and fire door works is desirable but not essential.

  • Pricing works for the business units and as part of the large bid team.
  • Liaising with clients to understand the scope.
  • Site visits and precontract meetings as required.
  • Liaising with operational staff to understand the costs associated with delivering the project.
  • Developing pricing models and rate schedules for different environments and sectors.
  • Providing the operational teams with clear scope and budget parameters.
  • Negotiating with suppliers and subcontractors to ensure competitive pricing.
  • Liaising with clients to resolve quotation queries.
  • Developing a menu of prices for an 'automated' response to small work pricing.
