A leading environmental consultancy in the United Kingdom seeks an enthusiastic Environment Planner (Natural Heritage) to join its Natural Environment Team. You will advise on natural heritage issues, shape environmental strategies, and work flexible hours as part of a sustainable management initiative. The ideal candidate will possess strong knowledge of ecology and biodiversity. This position offers a hybrid working model and is fixed-term for two years, concluding on 31 March 2028.

Job Description

This is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic natural heritage specialist to join our Natural Environment Team as an Environment Planner (Natural Heritage). Aberdeenshire’s natural environment resource is one of its most important assets and must be carefully managed in a sustainable way. Our team is at the forefront of protecting, enhancing and championing the region’s natural environment and addresses the challenges of the nature emergency.

Responsibilities
  • Provide expert advice and consultation responses on natural heritage issues in relation to the Development Management and nacido Local Development Plan process.
  • Shape and deliver action plans, environmental strategies and natural environmental project work.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to quality service delivery through continuous improvement for the benefit of the Service and the beer organisation.
  • Work in a flexible and hybrid environment as part of a 3.5‑day per week,ਮੇ 25.375‑hour schedule.
Contract
  • 2‑year fixed‑term, not exceeding 31 March 2028.
  • 3.5 days per week (25.375 hours).
