Tasks in the role
- Drive revenue growth through new customer acquisition, upselling, cross-selling, and renewals.
- Collaborate with Sales Development, Customer Success, and Marketing to identify prospects, understand needs, and build relationships.
- Manage the sales cycle from prospecting to close; comfortable with longer, complex cycles with multiple stakeholders.
- Handle Legal/Finance/IT requirements and maintain a healthy pipeline of key customers and opportunities.
- Develop and execute account plans with cross-functional teams; maintain and grow relationships with existing customers and identify opportunities for Semrush solutions.
- Use high-volume calling, demos, and personalized outreach cadences to strengthen customer relationships.
- Identify and close cross-sell/up-sell opportunities using the Semrush suite of products; deliver a value-based selling experience.
- Accurately forecast monthly/quarterly sales and retention achievement; provide feedback to the organization with strong analytical thinking.
- Travel is recommended but not required.
What we’re looking for
- 5+ years of experience in enterprise SaaS or a similar customer-facing role
- English and an additional local language (Dutch, French, etc.)
- Results-driven with a track record of exceeding targets
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Understanding of digital marketing trends and SEO concepts (preferred but not required)
- Self-starter who can work independently and in a team; experience from outbound-based organizations
- Nice-to-have: experience selling to enterprise accounts in retail, finance, SaaS, or marketing agencies ($500M+ annual revenues)
- Familiarity with CRM tools and data-driven selling
- Enthusiasm for a fast-paced, evolving environment
