Lead Subsidence Engineers & Technical Team – Driving Excellence in Insurance Solutions

Are you ready to take on a leadership role that blends technical expertise with strategic management? We’re looking for a dynamic professional to lead and inspire our Subsidence Engineers and Technical Team, delivering exceptional services for both domestic and commercial insurance claims.

In this pivotal role, you’ll ensure streamlined processes, compliance with SLAs, and outstanding customer experiences. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Technical Leadership: Oversee complex insurance claims, guiding your team to deliver accurate assessments and effective solutions.
  • On-Site Expertise: Occasionally support surveying services and visit damaged properties to evaluate technical and insurance requirements for reinstating buildings.
  • Strategic Impact: Drive operational efficiency while maintaining the highest standards of professionalism and customer care.

What will your day look like:
  • Lead and develop a team of desk-based engineers and a technical field team.
  • Attend client meetings and represent the company professionally.
  • Drive performance to meet SLA targets and audit requirements.
  • Provide training and technical guidance to internal teams and external surveyor networks.
  • Production of management information on a monthly basis.
  • Manage a portfolio of complex subsidence claims from inspect to resolution.
  • Promote best practice and continuous improvement within the Subsidence Operations team.
  • To understand, implement and comply with company procedures and policies, and actively promote the principle of treating customers fairly.

Knowledge and Abilities
  • Educated to degree level in an appropriate discipline, e.g. Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Building Surveying, or similar.
  • Enthusiastic
  • Excellent communication skills and articulation
  • Understanding and recognition of Customer Service and Quality
  • Flexibility and adaptability
  • The ability to work in a fast paced and changing environment
  • Numeracy skills
  • Reports and accountable to: Head of Subsidence and Surveying
  • Liaison with: Directors, Associate Directors, Managers, Loss Adjusters, Support Staff, Clients, Customers, Suppliers as necessary
