Job Purpose

To provide technical and professional expertise on engineering projects. Provision of professional design and project management services for a range of revenue and capital projects, which meet quality, cost and time requirements.

PVG Membership Requirement

With effect from 1 April 2023, roles requiring PVG membership will require the candidate to meet the cost of PVG membership. Applies to roles with a full time equivalent salary of £30,000 and above. The Council will initially pay the cost (£18 for existing members, £59 for non-members) and deducts from the first month’s salary.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in civil or structural engineering discipline, or equivalent
  • Minimum 2 years post qualification experience in engineering industry (design, maintenance, project management)
  • Membership of a relevant professional body or willingness to progress to a recognised professional qualification e.g., IEng or CEng MICE
  • Full current UK driving licence
