Job summary

A professional football club in Birmingham is seeking a qualified Sports Psychologist to develop and manage a Football Performance Psychology Programme for their Women’s First Team players. The ideal candidate will have a MSc in Sport and Exercise Psychology, relevant accreditations, and experience in elite sport. Responsibilities include providing psychological support, collaborating with team staff, and conducting player development interventions. Strong communication skills and a full UK driving license are required. This role may involve evenings, weekends, and matchdays.

Qualifications

  • Ability to build rapport with a diverse range of stakeholders.
  • Must hold a full UK driving license.

Responsibilities

  • Devise and manage a Football Performance Psychology Programme.
  • Work closely with Women’s First Team players.
  • Collaborate with the multi-disciplinary team on player development strategies.

Skills

British Psychological Society (BPS) accreditation
Chartered Association of Sport and Exercise Sciences (CASES) accreditation
Registered with the Health Care Professions Council (HCPC)
Excellent communication skills
Experience in elite level sport
