Job description

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Maintenance Technician with several years’ post-qualification experience. The successful candidate will have proven experience working within modern, complex buildings across multiple sites. You will be responsible for delivering high-quality electrical maintenance to support safe and efficient operations across the LTE Group estate. A flexible and professional approach is essential, with the ability to work independently and manage competing priorities. A full UK driving licence is required, as regular travel between sites during working hours is an essential part of the role.

We have an exciting opportunity at our Openshaw Campus to join our Facilities Department as an Electrical Maintenance Technician on a permanent, full-time (35 hours per week) basis.

Skills, Qualifications and Experience

To be successful in this role, you will need to:

  • Qualified to NVQ level 3 minimum Electrical trade related.
  • Willing to train in additional maintenance areas.
  • Manual Handling training.
  • Risk assessment training.
  • COSHH training.
  • Proven track record of problem solving, fault finding and prioritising works.
  • Ability to multitask.
  • Ability to work to Planned Maintenance Programmes.
  • Previous teaching, commercial building experience.
  • Able to maintain accurate electronic and paper-based records.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office – Word & Excel.
  • Able to work in a team.
  • Able to work on own initiative.
  • Able to prioritise work.
  • Able to work in a team environment multitasking with maintenance team colleagues as required.
