Overview

Exciting news! We are thrilled to announce a brand‑new full‑time (40 hrs per week) Senior Clinical Education Fellow post. This is a fixed term role for 18 months initially, with the possibility of extension for a further 2 years by mutual agreement, ideally starting in March 2026 but negotiable.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead a team of education fellows and teach medical students in the dynamic hospital environment.
• Deliver bedside teaching (phase 1), curriculum and assessment activities (phase 2), simulation training, and planning of student activities.
• Use high‑tech simulation equipment and contribute to assessment and evaluation processes.
• Collaborate with the wider medical education team, provide pastoral care for students and support research projects.
• Engage in audit, governance activities and continuous professional development.

Qualifications & Experience

• Medicine Degree with GMC registration and licence to practice.
• At least four years post‑registration experience in an acute trust.
• Knowledge of teaching and programme development, proficiency in the 23 GMC practical skills and procedures, and strong IT ability.
• Effective communication and relationship‑building skills.

Additional Information

Relocation expenses will not be provided. The role does not meet the Trust’s hard‑to‑recruit criteria.
