A leading catering services firm in Edinburgh is seeking a Baker for their Central Production Kitchen. The candidate will assist with all aspects of bakery operations, with a strong emphasis on quality and efficiency. Responsibilities include maintaining food safety standards, managing stock, and supporting the team. Previous experience and a Level 2 Food Hygiene certificate are essential. This role offers a rate of £14.50 per hour for 30 hours a week, providing a vibrant working environment within Scotland's cultural destinations.
Heritage Portfolio are looking for a talented and enthusiastic Baker to join the team at our Central Production Kitchen in Leith, Edinburgh. This role requires the candidate to assist with all aspects of Bakery operations and production. Training across all areas of production will be provided on the job. We operate within some of Scotland’s leading cultural destinations, including Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh, The Scottish National Portrait Gallery, V&A Dundee, Mansfield Traquair, the Signet Library and Perth and Musselburgh Racecourses.
With an emphasis on fresh, seasonal, made from scratch cooking, our in-house Bakery is responsible for providing our retail venues across Edinburgh and Dundee with a wide range of traybakes, biscuits, muffins, mini loaves and large decorated cakes, as well as some speciality afternoon tea items. We bake between 5,000-7,000 pieces of cake every week, so the ability to plan and execute production as efficiently as possible is key. The ideal candidate for this role will have a sound knowledge and passion for baking, as well as previous experience working in a similar environment.
