Job description

Mercedes-Benz Van Sales Trainee – Blackburn

Location: Blackburn (BB3)

Hours: Monday to Friday, Saturday mornings on a rota basis

Package: Competitive salary, company van/vehicle, bonus schemes following successful completion of training programme

Progression Opportunities: The successful trainee will move into a full‑time sales role with access to commission and bonus schemes.

23 days holiday plus bank holidays (additional days after 5 years’ service)

Key Responsibilities:

• Undertake online and face‑to‑face training modules
• Shadow experienced sales team members and support their activities
• Liaise with other departments to understand business operations
• Maintain vehicle display areas, price boards, and corporate POS material
• Assist with incoming enquiries and customer interactions (in-person, phone, digital)
• Create vehicle adverts for online platforms (e.g., Autotrader)
• Generate vehicle photographs and short videos
• Assist with vehicle deliveries and movements
• Conduct prospecting activities and record leads in CRM
• Promote and sell electric vehicles
• Achieve sales targets after completing the training programme
• Work with the Sales Support team to ensure vehicle orders and WIP accuracy

Qualifications:

• Full UK clean driving licence
• Previous experience in a customer‑facing sales or service role
• Hardworking, dedicated, and enthusiastic
• Strong communication skills and passion for sales
• Professional and organised work ethic
• Positive, can‑do attitude and ability to self‑motivate
• Strong attention to detail, numeracy, and moderate to strong computer skills
