A local educational organization in Greater London is seeking an Administrative Assistant to provide vital support in school operations. Responsibilities include answering calls, maintaining attendance records, and assisting with student enrollment data. The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma, strong communication skills, and experience with office equipment. Pay is $19.12 per hour, with benefits such as medical and dental insurance, paid leave, and more.
Contract Is 182 Days. Days Include 166 Student Contact Days (includes beginning of the year conferences). Additional detail: Staff Development Days (6) and Additional 10 days before/end of school year (10).
Performs intermediate administrative support work assisting the administration in the effective operation of the school office, maintaining records and reports, answering the telephone, greeting callers, and related work as apparent or assigned. Work is performed under the limited supervision of the principal.
Thorough knowledge of Infinite Campus, Time and Management (absence/substitute program); thorough knowledge of standard office equipment and office software; ability to make arithmetic computations using whole numbers, fractions and decimals; ability to establish and maintain an effective working relationship with co-workers, students, parents, and elected officials.
High school diploma or GED and moderate experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
This work requires the frequent exertion of up to 10 pounds of force and occasional exertion of up to 50 pounds of force; work regularly requires sitting, speaking or hearing, using hands to move, handle or feel and repetitive motions; frequently requires lifting and occasionally requires standing, walking, stooping, kneeling, crouching or crawling; reaching with hands and arms and pushing or pulling; work requires close vision, ability to adjust focus, depth perception and color perception; vocal communication is required for expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken word and conveying detailed or important instructions to others accurately, loudly or quickly; hearing is required to perceive information at normal spoken word levels and to receive detailed information through oral communications and/or to make fine distinctions in sound; work requires preparing and analyzing written or computer data and observing general surroundings and activities; work occasionally requires exposure to bloodborne pathogens and maybe required to wear specialized personal protective equipment and exposure to bodily fluids; work is generally in a moderately noisy location (e.g. business office, light traffic).
