A leading engineering company in Preston is seeking a skilled Project Manager to oversee project execution, involving coordination with internal resources and vendors. Responsibilities include ensuring timely delivery, managing budgets, and developing detailed project plans. Co-ordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the flawless execution of projects
Ensure that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget
Developing project scopes and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders, and ensuring technical feasibility
Develop detailed project plans to track progress and use appropriate verification techniques to manage changes in project scope, schedules and costs
Develop necessary tools and techniques to measure project performance and provide metrics on current state of all projects
Manage the relationship with customers and all stakeholders, and report and escalate to management as needed
Perform risk management to minimise project risks
Establish and maintain relationships with third parties/vendors
Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation
Ensure effective and regular communication with staff, contractors, customers, and suppliers to facilitate the smooth operation of business activities.
Represent the company with stakeholders, suppliers, and customers, and build constructive relationships to help further the work and reputation of the business
In addition, undertake any other duty or responsibility that may reasonably be allocated by the Technical Manager or Managing Director.
