Job summary

A spatial technology company is seeking a BIM Technician to join its London office. The candidate will work on global projects, collaborating closely with production and engineering teams. Role Overview:

Our team is looking for a BIM Technician to join our London office, working on global projects. The successful candidate will collaborate with other members of the production team and our in-house engineering specialists to assist with the delivery and enhancement of our BIM and CAD offering.

Key Responsibilities
  • Experience with point cloud data.
  • BIM modelling for commercial and residential properties using Revit and AutoCAD.
  • Produce ‘as-built’ 2D drawings and 3D Revit models of buildings and their components/systems using point cloud data.
  • Produce accurate 2D drawings and 3D models, understanding project requirements.
  • Report to the BIM Manager and Project Manager on a day-to-day basis.
  • Follow technical procedures and standards set out by the Company.
  • Manage sensitive and confidential information.
  • Demonstrate initiative, flexibility, and a proactive approach to daily tasks.
  • Other responsibilities include area calculations and verification using custom-built software.
  • Good understanding of Revit families and parameters.
  • Help technically deliver Revit projects.
Knowledge, Skills & Training
  • Ability to meet deadlines and work independently or within a team.
  • Enthusiasm and drive to research current BIM technologies and workflows.
  • Good working knowledge of Revit sharing platforms (BIM360, AutoDesk Construction Cloud).
  • Experience in the building services environment.
  • Mid-level Revit Technician/modeller with 4–5 years’ experience.
  • Focus on collaboration and teamwork, with attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD software.
  • MEPF modelling experience – advantageous.
  • Thorough knowledge of technical procedures and standards.
  • Diploma or draughting certificate/qualification from a reputable institution.
  • Proven work experience as a Revit technician.
  • Candidates must have been residing in the UK for the past 5 years.
  • Successful candidates will be required to pass security clearance procedures.
