A local education service seeks an Education Outreach Officer to enhance student attendance and engagement in Haddington. This full-time position provides tailored support to learners and collaborates with families and school staff to ensure academic success. The Equity & Inclusion Outreach Service works with learners on a short-term basis to support them to take full advantage of opportunities in school. The Education Outreach Officers will also work in partnership with families to promote positive home-school links and will be assigned on a needs basis rather than geographical and will be expected to work across East Lothian.In line with GIRFEC principles, the Education Outreach Officers will work closely with school colleagues, including learners’ Named Education Contacts (NEC) and other agencies as part of the ‘team around the child’ to provide early and effective support to ensure that all learners meet their full potential.
