Overview

Location: Birmingham City. Function: Transport. Employment: Full Time. Pegasus Group invites Senior Transport Planners to join our Birmingham Transport team.

Responsibilities

As a Senior Transport Planner you will support all aspects of development planning projects throughout the full cycle – from site selection and due diligence and appraisal through to planning, design and implementation. Your duties include preparing Access Strategies, Transport Assessments Statements, Travel Plans, Construction Traffic Management Plans, Parking Strategies, Sustainable Transport and Active Travel and providing inputs to Environmental Impact Assessments. You will also undertake junction modelling (Junctions 10) and input to S106 negotiations, liaise with local highway authorities and more.

Qualifications

A degree in a related subject (Master’s in Transport desirable). Knowledge of policy and guidance such as NPPF, DMRB, Manual for Streets, LTN 1/20. Experience with the TRICS database. Skill in setting up and running junction modelling software including Junctions 10. Strong written and verbal communication skills.
