A global engineering services company is seeking a System Mechanical Technician to support the service and maintenance of diving systems at the National Hyperbaric Chamber in Aberdeen. This hands-on role involves carrying out maintenance, documentation, and ensuring all equipment is operational. The ideal candidate has completed an SVQ or equivalent, possesses hands-on experience with diving and breathing equipment, and is competent with welding and soldering. System Mechanical Technician

As part of the National Hyperbaric Chamber (NHC) Workshop team, the System Mechanical Technician supports the service and upkeep of our products both on-site and away from base. You’ll work hands-on, helping install, test, and commission Dive Saturation systems and associated diving equipment onboard Dive Support Vessels alongside project managers and the wider technical team.
You’ll also play a key role in our asset and maintenance activities—making sure all mechanical elements of fixed dive systems, portable HRFs, LSPs, and life‑support equipment are always ready for use.
