The post involves working as part of a multidisciplinary team, under the supervision of an Assistant Manager. Supervising and developing a team of Rehabilitation Support Workers, support and assist people with acquired brain injury in the performance of daily living activities to enable the development of their personal skills and attain their optimum level of independence.
The role also requires: administering medication; managing petty cash procedures; monitoring the rotas and ensuring there is cover for the unit; leading well informed handovers; and overseeing the implementation of programmed activities for all service users on a daily basis. This person will supervise the Rehabilitation Support Workers throughout the week and provide supervision to inform future development and training. As part of the MDT they will liaise with management and the clinical team within the unit to ensure a high quality rehabilitation programme is delivered.
The successful candidate will need to demonstrate excellent interpersonal and team working skills, be self‑motivated and flexible. A full driving licence is desirable to meet travel requirements of the post.
