Job summary

A leading water utility provider is seeking a Level 6 Land Agent Apprentice in Warrington. This role offers structured training and a path to a Chartered Surveyor degree, alongside a starting salary of £21,000. As aLevel 6 Land AgentApprentice,you’lllearn how to:

  • Manage an estate in compliance with property law, ensuringcompliance with our statutory obligationsand thatour estate is wellmaintainedandaccuraterecords are kept
  • Ensure our land and buildings are safe for our employees,tenantsand the public.
  • Develop capital maintenance programs to protect long term asset value
  • Ensure that our rent and rates are paid and collected on time
  • Deal with customer queries anddrive issues through to resolution
  • Work withlandownersand our legal teams to deliver our capital projects.
  • Review and manage leases to ensure they protect the interests of United Utilities, protect our raw watersourcesand maximize commercial opportunity
  • Identifyopportunities on our land holding and optimisethese to develop long term land management plans
A bit more about the role

Your apprenticeship will last72months, and successful apprentices will achieveaChartered Surveyor degree, endorsed by theRoyal Institute of Chartered Surveyors (RICS).

Your study will beblockrelease.Ifyou’renot local to your place of study, accommodation will either be provided or re-imbursed by United Utilities during this period (excluding weekends). Please consider travel requirements and staying away from home if applicable.

What we’re looking for:

We’re looking for someone keen to gain hands-on experience, develop practical skills, and achieve the standards needed to succeed in this role.

You’llneed to have:

  • 5 GCSEs or equivalent, grades A-C or grades 9-4, which must include Maths, English and a Science or Technology subject
  • FullUKdriving licenceat time of application
  • Computerliterate – understanding of geographical information systems would be beneficial
  • Haveanawareness ofthewaterindustryanditsregulators
  • Haveanunderstanding ofagricultural regulations and practices
  • Havean awareness of property law and anunderstanding of commercial property management practices and regulations
  • Keen to gain hands on experience, develop practical skills and achieve the qualifications needed to succeed in the role
  • Willing to work as part of a team and ability to manage time and workload to get things done

  • During your apprenticeship, you may need to travel to your place of study. Ifyou’renot local to your place of study,accommodation will be provided by United Utilities during this period (excluding weekends). Please consider travel requirements and staying away from home if applicable
  • Core location: North West – Due to the nature of the role being across our region, a core location which is commutable will be agreed with the successful candidate when role is offered
