Job summary

A leading telecommunications company in the UK is looking for an engineer to support Subsea Cable Systems, ensuring fault rectification, safety, and operational effectiveness. The role involves hands-on engineering tasks in extreme marine environments, focusing on installation, maintenance, and safety management of submarine cables. Candidates should have a solid understanding of subsea technology and experience in related fields. Qualifications

  • Understanding of subsea network technology and operations.
  • Ability to operate, maintain, and manage performance of submarine cable systems.
  • Experience with optical transmission testing and investigation.

Responsibilities

  • Act as a member of the Subsea Engineering Team for installation, repair, and any required tasks.
  • Work away from home for extended periods in varied environments like rivers and seas.
  • Operate and maintain high-capacity transmission plant and services.
