Job summary

A global FMCG leader is seeking a Packaging Technician to join their Port Sunlight facility for a 6-month role. The ideal candidate will support the PCR Plastics Technology program, focusing on laboratory testing and data management. Although experience in packaging is advantageous, it’s not required. This full-time position involves collaborating on time-sensitive projects to meet sustainability commitments while maintaining a safe laboratory environment. Competitive compensation of up to £34,672 pro rata is offered.

Qualifications

• Experience in a packaging role is a bonus but not essential.
• Experience in laboratory measurement and testing equipment.
• Basic understanding of packaging moulding technologies is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support project execution through planning and set-up of packaging tests.
• Provide accurate measurement and testing reports.
• Assist in the development of packaging specifications.
• Manage daily packaging sample flow and equipment scheduling.
