A cybersecurity organization is seeking a visionary leader to head its high-impact Security Engineering team for the UK/Ireland and South Africa. This role emphasizes building high-performance teams and excelling in technical selling. The ideal candidate will have over 6 years of experience in managing teams, a strong cybersecurity background, and expertise in modern cloud architectures. You will foster collaboration across functions and coach team members while promoting a culture of innovation. This position is based in Greater London and targets the growing market in cybersecurity.

Qualifications

  • 6+ years as an SE Manager evolving high-output teams.
  • Strong background in security industry, especially in Exposure Management.
  • Experience with modern cloud architectures (AWS/Azure/GCP).
  • Experience managing remote or distributed teams across UK/Ireland and South Africa.

Your Role

Tenable is a leader in Exposure Management, offering a comprehensive Exposure Assessment Platform to help organizations see, predict, and reduce risk across the modern attack surface—from cloud and containers to identity and OT. We are seeking a visionary leader to head our high-impact Security Engineering team covering UK/Ireland and South Africa. You will move beyond managing a direct go-to-market SE team and embrace both direct and indirect technical selling within these diverse markets. Proving the platform and scaling the team externally are critical to the region’s success.

Responsibilities
  • Drive a new mode of performance into an established team: deliver scale across the entire selling ecosystem and be an integral part of cohesive UK GTM.
  • Scale a high-performance team: lead a diverse, hybrid team of SEs across UKI and South Africa, fostering an inclusive culture that thrives on teamwork, high velocity, and selling higher in our customers.
  • Platform-first strategy: lead this across the SE and associated teams to sell higher and faster into larger accounts.
  • Regional technical leadership: serve as the SE leader for the UKI and South Africa markets, ensuring regional requirements are reflected to enhance revenue and product development cycles.
  • Cross-functional synergy: collaborate with direct sales, channel, marketing, services, and customer success to support new and expansion business.
  • Mentorship & growth: coach SEs at all levels, helping them navigate the transition to platform-based selling and achieve career milestones within a world-class culture.
  • Culture of innovation: foster a “fail fast, learn faster” environment with proactive problem-solving and customer qualification and closing focus.
What You'll Need
  • Leadership experience: 6+ years as an SE Manager with a track record of evolving high-output teams to meet new selling modes.
  • Cybersecurity expertise: strong background in the security industry, specifically in Exposure Management or Vulnerability Management.
  • Platform & cloud proficiency: extensive experience with modern, scalable cloud architectures (AWS/Azure/GCP) and a platform-as-a-product mindset.
  • Regional savvy: experience managing remote or distributed teams across the UK/Ireland and South Africa, understanding market nuances.
  • Strategic agility: ability to pivot quickly in response to a fast-changing threat landscape and Gartner-defined market shifts.
  • Education: B.S. or M.S. in Computer Science, Cyber Security, or a related field.
