A community-focused charity in the United Kingdom seeks a volunteer content creator to enhance awareness and support fundraising efforts. The role involves creating engaging digital content, planning around key events, and monitoring audience engagement to ensure sensitive and effective communication. Ideal candidates should have strong writing skills, empathy, and at least three years of experience in similar roles.
As a volunteer content creator you will help our charity share engaging stories, information and updates across digital channels to raise awareness, build community and support fundraising. You will plan and produce multi format content across all channels.
You will help Dragonfly reach more families, referrers and supporters by sharing clear, compassionate stories about its memory‑making work for young cancer patients. By creating engaging content about cash gifts, sibling and memory boxes, you will highlight real impact, inspire donations and volunteering, and strengthen relationships with hospitals, hospices and the wider community.
We are looking for a volunteer who has at least three years experience, is creative, empathetic and sensitive to the experiences of young patients and families. They need strong writing skills, good attention to detail, reliability, discretion, and the ability to follow brand, safeguarding and confidentiality guidelines while working independently and as part of a small team.
You will create engaging digital content (social posts, short videos, graphics, blogs or emails) that showcases the charity’s impact, services and campaigns.
Work with staff to plan content around key dates, projects and events, ensuring messages are accurate, on-brand and sensitive to beneficiaries.
Schedule and post content, monitor basic engagement and help to refine ideas based on what audiences respond to.
