Job summary

A local childcare service provider in Nottingham is looking for an Early Years Practitioner to join their Family Hub Team. This role focuses on working with children aged 0-5 and their families, providing one-to-one support and delivering evidence-based programmes. The ideal candidate has at least two years of experience, an NVQ 3 in Childcare, and strong communication and partnership skills. A driver's license is required for work purposes.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of two years' experience of working with children 0-5 and their families.
  • Driver with access to a vehicle for work purposes.
  • Sound knowledge in safeguarding children and vulnerable adults.

Responsibilities

  • Undertake one-to-one work with parents/carers to meet identified needs.
  • Deliver evidence-based programmes within Family Hubs and family homes.

We have an exciting opportunity to join a Family Hub Team within Nottinghamshire. This is a great time to join our team as locally we are transforming our Children’s Centre Service into Family Hub Networks. Our work with children 0‑5 years remains part of our core offer and we will be expanding our service offer to 0‑19 years.

You will be able to undertake one‑to‑one work with parents/carers to meet identified needs and deliver evidence‑based programmes, within Family Hubs and family homes.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Minimum of two years’ experience of working with children 0‑5 and their families.
  • NVQ 3 in Childcare (or equivalent) with experience.
  • Driver with access to a vehicle for work purposes.
  • Sound knowledge in the following areas:
    • Safeguarding children and vulnerable adults.
    • Knowledge of child development and awareness of the importance of early attachments.
    • The importance of early intervention when working with families.
    • Working in diverse communities and the ability to work in a non‑discriminatory way.
    • Working in partnership with a range of agencies.
    • Communication skills, report writing, assessment skills, record keeping and IT skills.
    • Maintain confidentiality.
