Job description
Early Years Educator Apprentice – Sandbach

Ashbourne Day Nurseries was established in 2008 and provides Ofsted approved childcare across a range of unique settings. This role offers you the opportunity to gain a Level 3 Early Years Educator apprenticeship while working in a supportive environment.

Responsibilities
  • Gain a qualification in childcare while working in a suitable nursery setting.
  • Actively learn to plan and deliver high‑quality childcare.
  • Promote our values and ethos to ensure a child‑centred, safe and stimulating environment that meets each child’s individual needs.
  • Take part in day‑to‑day operational aspects of the nursery, in line with policies, safeguarding, Ofsted requirements, local authority guidance, health & safety and equal opportunities.
  • Ensure that all aspects of the Statutory Framework for Early Years Foundation Stage and welfare requirements are delivered to the highest standard.
  • Work as part of a team, sharing daily responsibilities and workload.
  • With the supervision of a qualified staff member, maintain and review the assessment of each child’s progress as the key person.
  • Provide exciting and educational experiences for children.
  • Ensure safeguarding procedures and nursery policies are followed at all times.
  • Support future opportunities for room‑leader or senior management roles.
Qualifications & Training
  • Working towards the Level 3 Early Years Educator apprenticeship standard, which includes:
  • Knowledge, Skills and Behaviours
  • Level 3 Diploma for the Early Years Educator
  • Level 3 Award in Paediatric First Aid or Level 3 Award in Emergency Paediatric First Aid
  • Level 2 Functional Skills in maths and English (if required)
  • Training delivered by Realise, your dedicated training provider.

On‑the‑job training and a 20 % off‑the‑job learning component will be incorporated as part of your working day.

Working Hours

40 hours per week, Monday to Friday. Shift times will be agreed at the offer stage.
