Qualifications

• NZ Class 2 Drivers Licence with WTR is required.
• Experience with Dump Trucks, Excavators, or Loaders is advantageous.
• Ability to lift heavy materials and maintain a good fitness level.
• Common sense and a positive attitude towards work are essential.

Job description

We are seeking a skilled and proactive Quarry Operator at our Wheatsheaf Quarry to work day-shift between 6:00am to 5:30pm, with the occasional Saturday.

In this role, you will support the daily operations of the quarry, with a focus on production and load-out tasks to ensure timely delivery of products to our customers.

If you’re a motivated team player with a great attitude, a strong safety mindset, and a willingness to learn, we’d love to hear from you. Experience operating heavy machinery in a quarry environment — such as dump trucks, excavators, or loaders — is an advantage, but not essential. Full training and ongoing support are provided to help you succeed and grow in the role.

For this role you will need:

✅ NZ Class 2 Drivers Licence with WTR

✅ Dump Truck, Excavator or Loader experience advantageous

✅ Be mechanically minded

✅ Right to work in New Zealand

✅ Decent level of fitness – there will be some manual heavy lifting

✅ Common sense and a healthy and positive attitude towards your work to ensure your teammates get home safely each day.
