Spare Parts Lead

Department: Technical Support

Employment Type: Full Time

Location: Ash Vale, UK

Description

Reporting to the European Service Manager, the successful candidate will play a pivotal role in enhancing customer satisfaction across our global marketplaces. The job holder will be responsible for managing our global parts team, ensuring that support tickets are resolved within SLA and orders are fulfilled in a timely manner while preserving inventory integrity. The successful candidate will be proactive in helping to resolve escalated enquiries and will collaborate cross-departmentally to ensure outstanding order lines are allocated and fulfilled at the earliest opportunity.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the Global Parts Team; including task delegation & training.
  • Oversee daily operations within the team, including monitoring stock levels, reviewing the ticket queue and implementing strategies to ensure all tickets and orders are processed within SLAs.
  • Serve as the primary point of escalation for parts-related enquiries and providing timely and effective resolutions.
  • Generate and analyse reports on inventory status and open back orders; and follow up with action items to resolve open lines.
  • Proactively find solutions when parts are not available, such as locating alternatives, coordinating with internal teams, or escalating issues as needed.
  • Collaborate with wider CX, Service & Planning teams to overcome challenges and move projects forward.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
  • Proven experience in a leadership role (3-5 years), leading a similar size team or larger. Experience with spare parts or inventory management is preferred but not essential.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience presenting data-driven insights (e.g., Excel pivot tables, review analysis) to senior management.
  • Passion for music technology and familiarity with the inMusic product portfolio, or a keen interest in learning the technical aspects of audio products.
  • Good technical knowledge of electronics, schematics, BOMs and the different types of parts/components.
  • Experience with SAP and Power BI is essential.
