Job summary

A leading Environmental Health consultancy is seeking an experienced Fire Safety Consultant / Fire Risk Assessor to deliver fire safety services across the UK. This contracted position requires a qualified professional to perform Fire Risk Assessments and provide technical fire safety advice. The consultant should possess excellent communication skills and a proactive, solutions-focused approach. A Level 3 qualification in Fire Risk Assessment or Fire Safety Management is essential along with a minimum of 1 year consultancy experience or 2 years in the Fire Service.

Qualifications

• Membership of the Institute of Fire Safety Managers (IFSM) is required.
• Minimum of 1 year working in a consultancy environment or 2 years within the Fire Service.
• Experience in the validation or QA of Fire Risk Assessments desirable but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Deliver Fire Risk Assessments within agreed geographical area.
• Plan, schedule, and manage delivery of Fire Risk Assessments autonomously.
• Provide fire safety technical advice to clients.
• Ensure reports are completed and submitted accurately.
• Maintain professional competency and ongoing CPD.
