Cleaner - Public Conveniences - Dwyfor Area (Pwllheli and Nefyn) Temporary Role: From April until the end of October (31 weeks) to start, with the possibility of becoming a permanent, year-round role.

Job Description

Purpose of the post

  • Ensure that the people of Gwynedd are at the centre of everything we do.
  • Carry out specific public toilet cleaning duties, ensuring cleanliness and hygiene to promote health and reduce cross-contamination.

Main duties

  • Empty bins
  • Wash, clean and disinfect sanitary ware, walls, tiles and pipes
  • Remove graffiti
  • Sweep and wash floors
  • Replenish toilet paper, soap and towels
  • Change lightbulbs
  • Clear paths around toilets
  • Report faults or damage
  • Clean exterior gullies as required
  • Open/close toilets as required

Additional responsibilities

  • Compliance with Health and Safety regulations, the Council’s H&S Policy, and data protection standards
  • Commitment to equal opportunities and Carbon Management Plan
  • Undertake any other reasonable duty appropriate to the role
