A community charity organization in Southend-on-Sea seeks compassionate individuals to join their Board of Trustees. This role involves supporting a care home where older people feel valued. No specific professional skills are required; rather, an interest in community, warmth, and good judgement are essential. Trustees will help shape decisions, support staff, and ensure residents live with dignity and comfort. This is a meaningful opportunity for those looking to make a difference in their community.
We’re looking for someone kind‑hearted, curious, and community‑minded to join our charity’s Board of Trustees. Our care home is a place full of warmth, laughter, and everyday moments that matter — and we want a Trustee who believes in creating a home where older people feel truly valued and supported.
You don’t need to be an expert in social care to get involved. What matters most is your willingness to share your ideas, ask good questions, and help us keep doing what we do best: offering a safe, welcoming, and joyful place for our residents. You’ll be part of a friendly group of Trustees who care deeply about the home, the staff, and the families we support.
If you’re looking for a meaningful way to give back, this could be a lovely fit. You’ll help shape decisions, support our dedicated team, and play a part in ensuring our residents continue to live with dignity, comfort, and companionship. If that sounds like something you’d enjoy, we’d be delighted to hear from you.
You don’t need specific professional skills to thrive in this role — what matters most is your character. We’re looking for someone who brings warmth, good judgement, and a genuine interest in people’s wellbeing. Curiosity, kindness, and the confidence to ask thoughtful questions go a long way. If you’re someone who listens well, cares deeply about community, and isn’t afraid to get involved and support a shared purpose, you’ll fit in beautifully.
