Youth Helper work directly with young people in St John Ambulance Badger Setts and Cadet Units. By supporting our Youth Leaders, you will deliver sessions across a range of programmes. In this role, you'll support the learning and development of young people into the next generation of health citizens. Youth Helpers also help young people develop confidence, teamwork skills, self-discipline, and encourage them to strive to be the best they can be. Additionally, they supervise and support other adult volunteers in their team.
You’ll gain a sense of satisfaction and pride by delivering an essential service. It’s beneficial for you, your community, and our nation, and requires only a small time commitment.
We are looking for people to join our youth team to help expand the delivery of SJA's youth programme, particularly our Cadet (10-17 years) members. Currently, we have a unit meeting on Tuesday evenings, and we hope to establish a new unit on Monday evenings.
Applicants need to be able to attend most youth unit meetings on Monday and/or Tuesday evenings. The wider network also has a monthly update meeting on Monday evenings, which all members are expected to attend.
