Overview

M&A Insurance Data Analyst, London

Are you keen to join Aon in a role that sits at the intersection of data, underwriting, and broking, with a particular focus on Warranty & Indemnity (W&I) / Representations & Warranties (R&W) and Tax Contingent insurance?

Can you play a key part in ensuring the accuracy, quality, and insightfulness of our data to support senior colleagues, insurers, and internal collaborators?

If so, we'd love to hear from you in connection with this brand-new role, based in our AMATS team, that comes with the flexibility to work virtually and from our flagship London office!

Aon is in the business of better decisions

At Aon, we shape decisions for the better to protect and enrich the lives of people around the world. As an organisation, we are united through trust as one inclusive team, and we are passionate about helping our colleagues and clients succeed.

What the day will look like

In this exciting new role that will undoubtedly evolve, your responsibilities will include:

  • Man age, cleanse, and validate data associated with M&A insurance, investigating anomalies and maintaining high data‑quality standards across systems.
  • Build and maintain insightful dashboards and reports, giving senior broking leaders visibility on performance, pipeline, trends, and key trading metrics.
  • Apply insurance knowledge to correctly structure, classify, and interpret deal data, ensuring accurate reflection of coverage and insurer requirements.
  • Support the design and optimisation of facilities/lineslips, using data to shape pricing bands, participation structures, and reporting packs for insurers.
  • Act as the bridge between data teams and brokers, translating raw data into meaningful insurance language, defining business rules, and guiding enhancements to data models and reporting pipelines.
How this opportunity is different

This is a role where your data expertise truly shapes decisions. You’ll work with rich, complex datasets to uncover insights that directly influence senior leaders — helping steer strategy across high‑profile M&A and specialty insurance lines. If you’re someone who loves solving problems, elevating data integrity, and making a visible difference in a fast‑growing part of the business, this role gives you the platform to do exactly that!

Skills and experience that will lead to success
  • Advanced data capability — strong Excel (complex formulas, pivots, lookups, Power Query/Pivot) plus experience with tools like Power BI, Tableau, or SQL for high‑quality analysis.
  • Data integrity & analytical rigour — comfortable handling large, complex datasets, interrogating data, spotting inconsistencies, and performing thorough sense‑checks.
  • Insightful reporting — ability to build dashboards and MI that tell a clear story for senior collaborators, ensuring outputs are meaningful and commercially relevant.
  • Insurance & facilities exposure — ideally experience in M&A insurance, specialty lines, or managing facilities/binders/lineslips.
  • Clear communication & collaboration — able to translate technical data into accessible insurance language, and work effectively with offshore/centralised data teams.
How we support our colleagues

In addition to our comprehensive benefits package, we encourage an inclusive workforce. Our agile environment allows you to manage your wellbeing and work/life balance, ensuring you can be your best self at Aon. We offer two “Global Wellbeing Days” each year to focus on yourself. We provide a variety of working style solutions for our colleagues as well.

Our continuous learning culture inspires and equips you to learn, share and grow, helping you achieve your fullest potential. As a result, at Aon, you are more connected, more relevant, and more valued.
