You'll work at least two days a week (40%) away from home, moving to three days a week (60%) in the future. We’re also happy to consider flexible working arrangements, which you can discuss with Talent Acquisition.

What you’ll be doing:
  • Take an active role in the commercial lines transformation project where required, supporting the development of schemes capability on the next generation of platforms, data and modelling systems.
  • Ensure data and pricing tasks are completed to appropriate standards and timelines; ensuring delivery drives profitable growth.
  • Develop data reports using Scheme bordereau to produce key performance measures and dashboards, with high quality accurate outputs with creativity that brings the data to life.
  • Build robust analysis models to support decision making for different lines of business and distribution and review analysis produced by more junior Analysts.
  • Validate, maintain and reconcile exposure and claims data, transforming the data to be ready for analysis.
  • Support the build and maintenance of the rating specifications for technical pricing and work with Scheme Underwriters to ensure they are kept up to date.
  • Use external data to augment existing data to find new commercial insights that may improve profitability.
  • Understand the regulatory environment and ensure any pricing reviews fully take these into account.
  • Create strong relationships with the Scheme Underwriters and peers across the company and take the lead to share best practice.
  • Work closely with the wider Pricing and Underwriting teams to deliver pricing projects and new initiatives as required.

We know that some candidates may be discouraged from applying if they don't meet every requirement. If you’re excited by this job and the prospect of working at AXA but you’re not sure you tick every box, we’d still encourage you to apply.

What you’ll bring:
  • A degree in mathematics, statistics, or a business-related subject, or qualified through relevant work experience.
  • Good programming skills are an advantage, with experience in tools such as SAS, R, or Python, along with familiarity of Databricks and Power BI.
  • Strong understanding of technical pricing and problem-solving skills, with the ability to deliver well-reasoned, evidence-based recommendations of high quality.
  • Excellent communication skills, capable of conveying complex ideas clearly and concisely to diverse audiences.
  • Self-motivated with a positive attitude and a proactive approach to work.
  • Highly organised, with the ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
