Overview

Valley Farm is a riding school and livery yard located at Mollington Lane, Shotteswell, Banbury OX17 1HZ, UK. We have an immediate vacancy for a Groom/Instructor. Accommodation is available.

We operate with excellent facilities including an indoor and outdoor school, indoor and outdoor stables, and a friendly client and horse community. We are a BHS Approved Centre and Pony Club Centre with over 40 members. There are opportunities to attend away shows with three well-behaved horses for the right candidate.

Responsibilities
  • Join and contribute to a busy riding school and livery yard team.
  • Care for horses, assist with daily yard duties, and interact with clients (adults and children).
  • Attend occasional away shows with horses, as available and appropriate.
  • Work effectively as part of a team and on your own, with a focus on finishing the yard on time.
  • Demonstrate a proactive, get-up-and-go attitude and the ability to step up during busy periods.
  • Maintain a positive, humorous approach to tasks and client interactions.
Qualifications & Attributes
  • Experience with horses and a genuine love of working with them.
  • Motivation, common sense, reliability, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with clients of all ages.
Hours & Benefits
  • Hours: 8:00am – 5:30pm, one late night until 6:30pm.
  • Part-time positions also available.
  • Accommodation is available.
