A local council organization in Wolverhampton is looking for a Commercial Finance Manager to support the procurement and commercial practices. This full-time role involves providing guidance on financial management and conducting reviews to optimize service outcomes. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in commercial finance, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively. This is an exciting time to join us, as Procurement and Commercial have recently become one team, offering new opportunities to develop our commercial and best practice culture.
We have been working with services undertaking commercial assessments and providing advice and guidance on commercial practice. We are now looking to increase this support to assist more services by recruiting a Commercial Finance Manager to join the team.
We are looking for someone who already has an appreciation of operating commercially in the public sector, has a financial background and with experience of commercially assessing business options to provide solution focused recommendations and insightful advice and guidance.
If you are the successful candidate, you will work collaboratively with services and will be instrumental in embedding commercial practice across the organisation.

All council roles are allocated to either a fixed, field or flexible work style.
