A leading construction firm in the UK is seeking an experienced HSEQ Manager to oversee health, safety, environmental, and quality aspects of their Civils & Infrastructure operations. This role involves leading the HSEQ Management System, ensuring compliance with ISO standards, and fostering a positive safety culture across multiple projects. The ideal candidate will have substantial leadership experience and knowledge of HSEQ operations in a fast-paced environment. You will play a crucial role in shaping safety standards and will receive a competitive salary and comprehensive benefits.
We are leaders in supplying innovative, sustainable building solutions to the UK construction industry; building progress for people and the planet.
Since 1858, we’ve helped shape the UK; powering the construction of homes and hospitals, roads and railways, schools and cities alike.
Our mission is to make sustainable construction a reality, through purposeful action that tackles real carbon and climate challenges. We are dedicated to helping Britain grow and thrive - by doing the right thing, doing it together, and making a difference.
We are seeking an experienced HSEQ Manager to take full ownership of health, safety, environmental and quality performance across our Civils & Infrastructure business, reporting directly to the Managing Director.
This is a hands-on, operational leadership role in a high-tempo environment that delivers around 60 projects per month. You will have the autonomy to shape how HSEQ is applied on the ground, adapting systems and controls to suit varied works while maintaining robust standards. If you enjoy being visible, trusted and accountable, and want a role where your decisions directly influence how work is planned, delivered and reviewed, then this is an opportunity to make a tangible difference every day.
You are an experienced HSEQ leader who is comfortable taking accountability for outcomes in a complex, multi-site operation. You prefer working close to delivery teams, providing guidance that reflects real site conditions rather than a one-size-fits-all approach. You are organised, pragmatic and confident in prioritising your time across competing demands.
We are committed to building a diverse environment and are proud to be an equal opportunity employer. You will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, religion, gender, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, national origin, disability or age.
