Job summary

A leading defense infrastructure firm in the UK is seeking a Principal Safety Assessment Specialist to manage technical safety documentation and assessments within their Infrastructure Project Delivery team. Ideal candidates will have extensive experience in safety assessment, particularly in nuclear or high hazard industries, and hold a relevant degree or vocational qualification. This role requires strong interpersonal, report writing, and mentoring skills. A competitive salary package is offered, along with opportunities for professional development.

Qualifications

  • Extensive experience in safety assessment for radiological, chemical and/or explosive hazards.
  • Experience in nuclear, high hazard and/or highly regulated industries.
  • Professional membership to a relevant chartered body required.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the technical input to safety documentation.
  • Deliver safety assessments and technical safety documentation.
  • Mentor safety assessment specialists and senior members.
