Overview

We are looking for a Personal Assistant (PA) to support a smiley five-year-old child with PMLD. He cannot walk or talk but enjoys outdoor activity, physical play, and using an iPad and switch toys. The PA should have energy, initiative, and the ability to engage and entertain him to reflect his lively personality.

Hours

Regular hours: Mondays, Tuesdays and Fridays from 2:45pm to 4:45pm, with flexible starts/finishes for the right candidate. Additional hours may be available during school holidays and occasional weekends. Shifts during holidays and weekends possible if interested.

Duties include

• Eating and drinking assistance
• Transportation
• Companionship

• Hygienic, tidy and well organised
• Energetic and able to engage and entertain him
• Quality health and safety standards
• Medication prompting/administering and PEG feeding (where applicable) – guidance from a parent at home when needed; experience in these areas is highly desirable

• DBS certificate and on the update service (preferred)
