A leading healthcare provider in Cottingham is seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technologist responsible for administering radiopharmaceuticals and providing essential care to patients. NUCLEAR MEDICINE TECHNOLOGIST, (BAND 6), NUCLEAR MEDICINE DEPARTMENT
Employer Hull University Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust. Site: Castle Hill and Hull Royal Infirmary. Salary £38,682 - £46,580 per annum, pro rata. Salary period: Yearly. Closing date: 20/02/2026 23:59.
The post holder will be required to provide Technologist duties in the Nuclear Medicine Departments including imaging, i.v. and intra-dermal administration of radiopharmaceuticals and in-vitro techniques on an ad-hoc basis.
The department operates between 07:30 and 20:00 and a shift system compliant with the Working Time Directive operates within these hours. This is likely to start earlier with the opening of the new Molecular Imaging Research Centre in which our new radiopharmacy facility will be housed.
Applicants must possess a BSc/HNC or equivalent in radiography, a science or health related subject and have completed competency-based nuclear medicine training. Post qualification/radiopharmacy experience is highly desirable.
The work is varied and demanding with an emphasis on accuracy, reliability and adaptability. The post holder will be able to prioritise demanding workloads and work under their own initiative.
The post holder will be a key member of the Nuclear Medicine Team and will have direct contact with patients, medical, nursing and other staff. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are therefore essential.
