Social Worker in Adult Safeguarding, Grimsby, £35 Hourly, Ongoing – Full Time/Part Time

An exciting opportunity has arisen to become a Social Worker within the Adults Safeguarding team based in Grimsby, earning £35 per hour. What you will do
  • Manage a caseload effectively, prioritising and co‑ordinating your workload, and responding to abuse allocations by initiating safeguarding adult enquiries in line with Section 42 of the Care Act 2014.
  • Act as a Best Interest Assessor, assuming this role once formal training is completed as per MCA/DoLS guidelines.
  • Lead and arrange strategy meetings, ensuring that all necessary partner agencies are involved in safeguarding discussions.
  • Maintain vigilance for the Mental Capacity Act’s implications and ensure adherence to the NEL Safeguarding Adults Policies and Procedures, particularly when vulnerable adults are at risk.
  • Collaborate with individuals, carers, and professionals to identify risks, enhance well‑being, and address care and support needs.
  • Ensure timely and appropriate responses to crises, offering solutions that are both immediate and long‑term.
  • Include and support advocacy services for vulnerable individuals, enabling informed decision‑making.
  • Guide and mentor less experienced staff or students, providing professional development in alignment with organisational standards.
  • Uphold organisational policies, including health and safety, equal opportunities, and confidentiality standards, to ensure a safe and productive working environment.
