Turnings Point Scotland South Lanarkshire – Alcohol & Other Drugs Reachout Service is looking for people to provide individualised support to adults with a wide range of needs, either on a 1:1 basis or as part of a team. The service will work with adults over 16 with problematic alcohol & drug use using an Assertive Outreach and Intensive Case Management model.
We operate flexibly across South Lanarkshire and will work in partnership with CAReS teams and The Beacons. The service will operate 7 days a week, including evenings and public holidays. Support is person-centred and involves families and other professionals where appropriate.
As a Senior Relief Worker, you will work with individuals who have a wide range of support needs, providing practical and emotional support and helping them achieve personal outcomes in daily life, including safety, meaningful activities, community involvement, physical health, relationships, and emotional health and wellbeing.
Relief Workers are deployed to cover leave or sickness and to provide additional support during peak activity. They are paid monthly, accrue holidays, and are reimbursed for reasonable expenses. Relief working may not be suitable for people with full-time posts elsewhere.
Relief Workers will undertake a programme of basic training to operate safely and meet health and safety obligations. You will be contacted with suitable work when available; accepting work is expected but not mandatory, and reliability is important to the service and those we support.
