Job summary

A leading infrastructure company is seeking a resource planner in Scotland to manage and allocate resources for overhead line projects. The ideal candidate will have knowledge of transmission works with excellent planning, organizational, and communication skills. You will work closely with operational teams and play a pivotal role in ensuring that resources are placed effectively across various projects. About The Role

In this role, you’ll be at the heart of delivering critical Power T&D projects across Scotland. As the key link between operational teams, subcontractors, and the wider resource function, you’ll play a pivotal part in making sure the right people are in the right place at the right time to keep major OHL (Overhead Line) programmes moving.

What you’ll be doing
  • Allocating people to Scotland OHL projects in line with agreed resourcing plans and business needs.
  • Working with the central resource function to utilise established systems, documents, and processes to deploy resources across delivery teams and operatives.
  • Planning and coordinating resource movements between projects, ensuring regional requirements are fully supported.
  • Proactively engaging with internal stakeholders to understand and respond to resourcing needs.
  • regularly with other Power T&D resource managers and coordinators to support day‑to‑day operations and long‑term planning.
  • Collaborating with recruitment teams on filling demand, including raising ATRs.
  • Issuing reporting instructions to track project‑to‑project movements.
  • Acting as a point of contact for operational teams on resource‑related issues.
  • Producing clear and accurate management information and reporting.

Essential Skills & Experience
  • Knowledge of transmission works ideally with an OHL background

  • Ability to work effectively with a broad range of stakeholders across both operations and business support functions.
  • Comfortable operating in environments with changing priorities, including the ability to manage ambiguity and competing demands.

Desirable
  • Experience in resource planning across a multi‑site environment, ideally within the power utilities sector
