A leading quantitative finance firm in Greater London is seeking a DevSecOps Manager to lead security engineering efforts. You will own security platforms, ensure reliable integration into workflows, and develop a team focused on continuous improvement. Candidates should have strong DevSecOps engineering experience, a solid understanding of secure software delivery, and proven leadership abilities. This role offers competitive compensation, a supportive work environment, and numerous benefits including a 9% pension contribution and 30 days of annual leave.
We tackle the most complex problems in quantitative finance, by bringing scientific clarity to financial complexity.
From our London HQ, we unite world-class researchers and engineers in an environment that values deep exploration and methodical execution - because the best ideas take time to evolve. Together we’re building a world-class platform to amplify our teams’ most powerful ideas.
As part of our engineering team, you’ll shape the platforms and tools that drive high-impact research - designing systems that scale, accelerate discovery and support innovation across the firm.
The DevSecOps function owns core security platforms across G-Research, including PKI, secrets management, dependency analysis and developer-facing security tooling. The team is responsible for establishing a consolidated view of infrastructure and application assets, their relationships and ownership, providing a consistent foundation for security controls and oversight.
The team’s focus is on building strong foundations, delivering critical programmes, such as a global PKI rollout, and earning trust through predictable delivery and well-operated services.
We are looking for a DevSecOps Manager to lead this critical security engineering capability. You will own the platforms and services that underpin secure software delivery across the firm, leading an engineering team responsible for building, operating and continuously improving core security services. These capabilities are widely used across engineering and must meet a high bar for reliability, clarity and operational maturity.
You will be accountable for the technical direction and effectiveness of the function, setting priorities, shaping the roadmap and ensuring security solutions integrate cleanly into existing engineering workflows. A key objective is evolving the team from delivering individual tools to providing cohesive, well-supported security services that engineers trust and rely on.
This is a hands-on leadership role. While you will focus on leading, developing, and scaling the team, you will remain close to the technology—providing technical guidance, making design decisions and acting as a senior escalation point. You will work closely with engineering leaders and security partners across the organisation to raise overall security capability without creating friction for delivery teams.
Key responsibilities of the role include:
Evolving the scope of the function over time, including owning additional security technologies and reducing risk across the software estate
The ideal candidate will have the following skills and experience:
